Strong Beyond Measure: Training in Ivy Park

Strong Beyond Measure: Training in Ivy Park | A Design Lifestyle - Jacqueline Palmer 10

Earlier this year, I made a commitment to increase the regularity and intensity of my workouts. Along with weekly yoga, which I started at the beginning of the year, I’ve included pilates, dance, and weight training. This has led me to buy more workout clothes and has opened up my wardrobe to an entirely new field of fashion. So when one of my favorite artists released a sexy, bold, and affordable line of athletic wear, I did not walk, I ran to the checkout line. Ivy Park is exactly what the activewear division of fashion needed. I have never been a fan of the high-end sportswear brands because one, their products to me were over priced, two, their clothes were designed for a slimmer body type, and three, everyone was wearing the same thing which goes against my style philosophy. Combining fashion-led design and technological innovation, Ivy Park is performance wear “for both on and off the field” in curve flattering forms and fabrics.

I’ll admit to having many pieces from the new line, but my favorite items are these Warriors blue cropped leggings and geometric sports bra. This outfit is paired with a sleek leather jacket, designer sneakers, unexpected gold details, and beachy waves, and is both head turning and functional for a solid workout or a night out at the bar watching the playoffs. Yes, I workout with my hair down and yes, I workout in jewelry. Set your own standards, and make your own rules; it’s the only way to stand out as being Strong Beyond Measure.
